11 Hours on the I&M Canal

Join the Chicago Maritime Society on a special all-day tour devoted to the historic Illinois & Michigan Canal, June 22, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. The day's activities include historic film(s) about the canal; narration and Q&A with historian and Chicagoland Canoe Base proprietor, Ralph Frese; Sunday brunch at the beautiful Starved Rock State Park Lodge; a ride on a horse-drawn barge, staffed by crew members in period costume; and visits to historic aqueducts, bridges, locks, and a locktender's house. 50 tickets available at $125 apiece. Rule 53 Book Release Party

2008 Printers Row Book Fair

Lake Claremont Press has sold books at the Printers Row Book Fair for nearly 15 years, but 2008 promises to be our biggest year ever. We'll have a larger presence at the early June book fair with nearly an entire booth for our press. Plus six new books and four authors at a time giving autographs.
