One More Toast
Need a last-minute escape this Wednesday evening?
This week we have Jean Iversen signing copies of her brand new 3rd edition of BYOB Chicago (it includes BYO tequila joints, too). To go along with that, we'll have a tasting of Spanish wines and holiday treats, plus appetizers courtesy of Kan Zaman and Gaudi Grill (both BYOB restaurants).
We'll have the usual festive mingling, tunes from our 8-track player, a used book sale, LCP books priced just right for affordable holiday gift-giving, extra raffle prizes, and these additional special Chicago guests:
Daniel P. Smith, author of On the Job: Behind the Stars of the Chicago Police Department will sign copies of his book and discuss his new specialty, citizen police academies.
Renee Kreczmer has been sharing her love of Chicago history with her 3rd grade CPS students for years and she's about to share it with your school-age children in her upcoming LCP book. Pick her brain on fun and educational history outings for your family.
Former banker Denise Maple, owner of VaVaVroom, a West Loop business devoted to the female motorcycling enthusiast, is on hand to discuss her products and biking.
Meet and greet Chicago's newest publisher Mary Osborne of Lake Street Press who will be talking about her debut release, the young adult novel Nonna's Book of Mysteries.
And, last but not least, we're welcoming visting members of the Greater Rockwell Organization and the Chicago Tour-Guide Professionals Association.
We look forward to seeing you and toasting the season.
